Designed with the weekend smoking and grilling enthusiast in mind, the 1830 provides 475 square inches of main pit cooking area and an additional 200 square inches of fire box cooking area. The main barrel is designed for direct fire built grilling with a slide out charcoal tray or as a smoking chamber. The “tru-flo” baffle system is designed for perfect smoke/heat distribution and to eliminate hot spots throughout the main chamber when used as a smoker. The first Big Hat Smoker came off the fabrication floor August 2009, but the dream, the plan and the design has been in the works for many many years. Aaron Webb and Beau Smith, cousins from Marfa, Texas didn’t start Big Hat Bar-B-Q in one of their garages but in a state of the art welding facility in order to build the best grill money can buy......................
